Zygo® GPI-XP to VeriFire Interferometer, 1K x 1K Camera
Digital CAN VeriFire upgrade performed that converts the GPI interferometer from analog electronics to CAN-based digital electronics. The upgrade includes a new computer running Windows 10 and the latest version of MX software. Note that Zygo no longer ships new systems with "MetroPro® classic." The GPI mainframe is retrofitted with a new electronics board and a new 1k by 1k digital camera. Upgrade performed by Zygo service. Very modern and supportable phase measuring interferometer when completed. Zygo® Verifire-XPZ Interferometer, 1K x 1K Camera
This is a 2013 vintage Verifire interferometer. It already has CAN-based digital electronics. The computer was missing when I bought it. A new computer running Windows 10 and the latest version of MX software will be installed along with new digital cameras. The PC and camera upgrade is done by Zygo at their factory. With these plates it's very easy to build a point diffraction interferometer, for example for testing a telescope mirror. You only need a cheap red laser diode (without collimating lens), the PDI plate, a 3-axis stage, and a camera.
