Point Source Microscope - Used for the alignment of optical systems and tests. The PSM is also invaluable for aligning aspheric optics, including off-axis aspheres. Because the PSM not only locates point images but shows the image shape, it is used to aid in holding the image in the correct translational location while the asphere is adjusted to reduce the alignment aberrations to zero. - 18" Fused Silica Divider plate - 1/15 wave over the center 12" - divider plate has a clam shell ding on the cavity entrance side which is well away from the clear aperture; effect is cosmetic only.
- Also have the "sister" fused silica piece used as a back-up to the divider plate in the event of damage. This 18" part is optical polished on both sides; the best side is finished to about 3-4 fringes. Was used for contact blocking.
- 16" Back Pyrex plate 1/15 wave or better over 12" - has a thin-film Ag coating, which has deteriorated.

Olympus BX30 DIC OEM Microscope - With DIC feature, 10X & 20X Objectives, and Focus Block.
This microscope was never used. It was intended to work as a revisit station in a magnetic disk inspection tool. It has full DIC capability. It was intended to illuminate a CCD camera so there are NO eyepieces. There is NO illuminator either. A fiber optic bundle was used to provide illumination. The objective lenses are Olympus UM PLAN FLUORITE 10X & 20X in NEW condition. There is a course/fine focus block that requires a stand. Therefore, there's NO stand, NO illuminator & NO eyepieces. This is an OEM package for machine vision.
